Bernie Williams blasted a grand slam as the Chicago Rastafarians staged a
dramatic comeback over the Detroit Iron Gloves by a score of 15 to 12 at the
ballpark.

Chicago erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
scoring 5 runners on 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Matt
Stairs who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he tripled clearing
the bases. Chicago bats were hot in the 6th inning which saw them plate 7
runs on 4 hits and the 9th inning with 5 runs on 4 hits. This was the kind
of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.

Brad Lidge(8-3) went 3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Francisco
Rodriguez(6-5) took the loss in relief. Chicago scored big getting 5 runs
off him in 2 innings.

Mike Wilson was understandably not very talkative after his team's tough loss.
He quickly showered and changed and when asked about the game had a terse,
yet polite response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a heart-breaker to lose.
Our guys gave it their all and played well - fate just wasn't smilin' on us
this afternoon'
